Be a Counselor

Camp Nubar accepts applications from potential counselors throughout the year. Counselors are responsible for a cabin of campers as well as an activity that suits their experience. All counselors must file an application and undergo a series of interviews. Once accepted, the counselor must attend our training session prior to camp's start. Counselors may apply for three different positions based on age and experience:

• Counselor-in-Training (CIT) - 16 years old
• Junior Counselor - 17 years old
• Senior Counselor - 18 years old and up

If you are interested in applying, please download the forms by clicking HERE, print out the forms, complete the forms (including getting two (2) recommendations), and send them to the Camp Nubar office indicated on the forms.

If you are unable to download the forms, please send an email to the office and include the address that you would like the application forms to be mailed to.

The starting salary for Junior Counselors is $650, and the starting salary for Senior Counselors is $1,000.

Important Dates for 2010

• June 28th (12:00pm sharp)-Beginning of Pre-Camp
• July 3rd- Camp Begins!!
• July 25th- Open House
• August 14th- Camp Ends
• August 16th- Post-Camp Ends
